Tenant and Tenant’s Contractor need to provide the following information to the Building Management 48 hours prior to the intended move date.
For the benefit of all Tenants, major moves/deliveries can only be accommodated on weekends or before 6:00 am and after 6 pm on weekdays. Please specify the date and time desired as soon as possible to avoid conflicts with the reservations of the Loading Dock and Service Elevators. Tenants can make freight elevator reservations through Angus.
The moving contractor shall be responsible for all damages and losses sustained to tools and equipment utilized in the performance of all work there under. When moving into the building, please contact the Building Management Office for assistance. The management office will issue your tenant representative an access card/key, which grants access to the building. Additional cards will be issued upon request. Shorenstein requires that the moving contractor provide protection for building flooring, walls and elevators during loading and unloading. If you are not using a moving contractor, please call the management office for assistance in coordinating the use of the elevator and protection of flooring.
Please use designated loading zones for unloading. DO NOT PARK IN FIRE LANES.
Please ask the moving contractor to contact the property manager well in advance of the moving date to schedule use of the elevator. The elevator is available for moving during non-business hours only with the approval of the management office. Approval is also required for moves that are scheduled to take place during the weekend.
Moves are conducted in the freight elevator. Please book the elevator as far in advance as possible to avoid scheduling conflicts. Elevators must be booked at least 24 hours in advance in order to be able to provide a security officer.
An operator will be hired to run the elevator during your move. There is a 4-hour minimum for which you will be charged. Moving time beyond the initial 4 hours will be billed in 1 hour increments.
Moves through the main lobby require that masonite be laid on the floors from the street (curb) to the elevators.
All movers must lay masonite on the tenant’s floor from the freight elevator to the tenant’s suite entrance.
Doors, elevator openings and other exposed areas must be protected.
A Certificate of Insurance is required from the movers before the move takes place. Please contact the Building Management Office at 415 956 5550 for the specific requirements.
Neither the Building Office nor Security Personnel are authorized to accept (sign for or hold on to) delivery of items for a tenant. Vendors will not be allowed access to your space unless prior written permission is received from the tenant, and a key to your space is left with that letter. For everyone’s safety and security, items may not be left with Security for pick up by a vendor or other person.
To schedule after hours use, your Authorized Signer must enter a move request in Angus, in the ‘shared resources’ menu at least 48 hours in advance.
Debris and other materials used during moves should be removed promptly following a move-in or move-out. Moving debris should not be placed in regular building trash, freight elevator lobby, loading dock or compactor. Please contact the Building Office as to how to properly remove debris from the building. Any costs incurred by the Building Management to remove inappropriate disposal of trash will be charged to the tenant.
